The Complex anthology is very interesting to read because of the stories are created from many authors. The individual novels are connected by the environment, a theme of integration of numerous species, and the inhabitants "aliens" being fantasy beings rather than Greys and little green aliens. The concept of the series "out of the box" creativity keeps the reader guessing what the story is going to be about. I liked the "Hungry Touch" because it remains true to idea of experimenting with diversity. The author's take on diverse relationships was refreshing. Good work Ms. Husk!Product details

If your looking for a lotta sex... Nope even though this book is about an Incubus. This guy is not like any other you've read about. He only gets to do the dirty once a year and that's for procreation only aaaaaaaand he only gets to do that if he wins a battle of his whole tribe for leadership. Whew. Yeah that was a lot to wrap my head around and then the relationship with Phoebe. Ok just strange. Can't say I hated this book but... uhm I just dunno too odd.
I never thought how hard it must be to be an incubus...until I read this book.
I've been waiting for this one, and I read it in one sitting. Kearn is an incubus, but he's not what you'd expect in a predatory creature that reputedly preys on women. Complex and caring, he's had experience in being the underdog but he's not power crazy once he had some. I really liked this guy.
My only complaint is that the book seemed far too short - which is a compliment to the author, of course, because anything I read from start to finish without stopping MUST be too short, whether it was 50 pages or a thousand, because it ended while I was still enjoying it!
This is my first Shona Husk book, but I'm definitely going back for more. Five stars.
